How Solis 5kW Hybrid Inverter Communicates with Lithium 5.12kWh Voltacon Battteries

The Lithium-ion batteries from Voltacon communicate with the Solis 3.6kw and 5kW 5G Hybrid inverters. The pictures below are taken from projects where multiple 5.12kWh batteries are connected to Solis. The system is set up to operate in a self-consumption mode without exporting back to the grid.
The Master battery should be set to the right rate by moving the dip switches: 1 Down, 2 Up, 3 Down , 4 Up. The slave batteries should keep the default settings.
Select from the energy storage menu the battery BMS protocol : DLG (Old inverter 2019-2021) and PYTES for newer inverters. The communication cable is a straight pin RJ45 like the one used for the ethernet. It is important to use the CAN BUS port not RS485.
