Fogstar Battery BMS Communication With Voltacon Off Grid Inverters
Fogstar lithium batteries include a built-in BMS (Battery Management System) that can communicate directly with Voltacon off grid inverters.
This is commonly used on systems installed with the Conversol 8kW MAX II and Ultra MAX 11kW.
The same approach applies across the 8kW to 12kW range, as the correct protocol setting is
PYL (Pylontech) in Menu 5 of the inverter.
RJ45 Communication Cable
Communication between the Fogstar battery and the inverter is made using an Ethernet RJ45 cable with the pin layout shown below.
