The US5000C is the new version of the Pylontech US5000 battery, featuring an improved “C rate,” which determines how quickly the battery charges or discharges relative to its total capacity. For example, at 1C, the battery discharges in 1 hour, while at 0.5C, it takes 2 hours. A higher C rate means faster performance. With upgraded BMS software, the US5000C delivers a better discharge rate and overall performance, while remaining fully compatible with the original US5000.
If you purchase US5000 Battery before April 2024 and want to extend your system, with the US5000C / US5000-1C then the new battery needs to be set as the master battery in the BMS system.
The batteries that are now sold by Voltacon Solar are exclusively the new version.
