Solar Photovoltaic Panels – High Efficiency – Great ROI – 25 Year Warranty on Performance

We believe the concept of “more” should be uppermost in any solar installation — produce more energy, save (or earn) more money and do more good for the environment.

Changing to solar energy will give you:

  • More control over your energy bill
  • Long-lasting renewable energy
  • A lower carbon footprint
  • Better energy management

Since 2002, we have linked only with Tier One solar panel manufacturers. They offer a 20 per cent cell efficiency, long warranty, and stable performance over the 35-year life expectancy of the solar panel.

This means the panels we sell:

  • Have an excellent cell efficiency
  • Offer a great return on investment
  • Are backed by a 25-year warranty on performance

Efficient solar panels

We offer a range of panels to suit all your energy needs, whether in the home, business, boat or motor homes and caravans.

Our most popular products are the 60-cell monocrystalline and polycrystalline panels. These have conquered the world market in climate zones as varied as Africa, Spain and Greece to the cooler UK.

Positive power tolerance

All our panels are made with positive power tolerance. This means they are capable of generating up to 5 watts extra than the panel’s nominal value. As solar panels are sold in “strings,” just one performing below par will reduce the effectiveness of the whole system. But positive power tolerance means each panel will perform at least to its nominated level with the potential to generate extra power.

Half-cell panels — the future in photovoltaics

Half-cell designs are the solar panel of the future, according to the International Technology Roadmap for Photovoltaic (ITRPV). Their ninth edition of the roadmap has predicted that the market share of half-cell designs will grow from 5 per cent in 2018 to 40% by 2028.

Half-cell panels are modules that have halved solar cells, a design which improves performance and durability. This means 60 and 72-cell panels will now have 120 and 144 half-cut cells. These cells are able to produce more power, as their current is also halved, and therefore losses incurred in resistance are reduced.

Smaller cells experience reduced mechanical stresses, so they have a decreased opportunity for cracking. Half-cell modules have higher output ratings and are more reliable than traditional panels.

At Voltacon, we have begun investing in this revolutionary half-cell design, with the release of our Elios (Greek word for Sun) series of half-cell modules. These monocrystalline half-cells will give higher efficiency and output — up to 330 watts in a traditional 60-cell footprint

Our Tier One solar panels give you the flexibility to take back control of your energy needs. Reach out to us to learn more.
